Project Description

AYVO reimagines the experience of taking the combined contraceptive pill (CCP), turning it from a monotonous medical task into an empowering daily ritual. Simply place your 28-day pill blister pack into the device and press the corresponding key to dispense your pill. The numbered key will flash to indicate the current day, helping you stay on track. Customisable keycaps and a satisfying tactile design make each dose a mindful, personal moment.

Bio

"I am driven by a curiosity for how thoughtful design can transform everyday interactions into meaningful experiences. I approach design as a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and human-centred innovation. I am particularly passionate about biomimicry, drawing inspiration from natural systems to inform form, function, and efficiency, as well as the role of colour in design — exploring how colour can influence perception, emotion, and user connection.

My work often investigates themes of personalisation, materiality, and emotional engagement, using emerging technologies to create bespoke, user-specific solutions. Across my projects, I aim to design with both form and purpose in mind — from reimagining everyday technology through a CD player that transforms music consumption into an interactive, nostalgic experience, to developing tactile, ritual-driven products like a contraceptive companion that encourages long-term user attachment.

Ultimately, I strive to create products that are not only functional and manufacturable, but also enduring, engaging, and deeply attuned to both users and the environments they inhabit."
