Project Description

A travel pet carrier designed with ease of use, comfort and convenience to reduce pet anxiety and increase efficiency. With the integration of FidLock’s magnetic mechanic fasteners, the pet carrier can be disassembled. The pet carrier comprises of a top unit, bottom unit, an attachable handle, two securing straps, a pet cushion and a sliding wire door with rubber wire to prevent friction. The carrier can be transformed into a pet bed by removing the top unit. This allows the pet to become familiar with the environment and reduce the stress of being in an enclosed space. The magnets incorporated within the pet carrier are the SNAP ROPE, SNAP SEWABLE and the V-BUCKLE SLIM 20. To release the magnets, the user must slide the wire door up. For the straps, the tab is pulled and then lifted upwards. The handle’s magnets are released by pushing sideways. Each of the magnets are designed to counteract the movements of the pets that may push against the door. According to animal psychology, the colours yellow and blue are the most prominent and visible colours. The colour yellow is associated with happiness and energising. Blue is perceived to be calming and relaxes the eyes.
